What is Spectrum Therapeutics – a division of Canopy Growth Corporation - doing to ensure uninterrupted and quality supply in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic?
Canopy Growth Corporation takes the health of its employees, customers, and communities seriously. We are monitoring the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation and continue to make decisions based on the guidance of public health authorities.
Spectrum Therapeutics remains committed to ensuring patients in Australia and New Zealand receive a consistent supply of medical vaporisers. We have started by ensuring that our teams responsible for the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping of your products are kept as safe as possible. Operations are continuing, with new procedures to protect our staff and our products, including enhanced screening procedures and protective measures at all facilities.
There are no changes to the distribution of our products. During these unprecedented times, the well-being of our customers and continued availability of our products remains our number one priority.
What can Australian and New Zealand patients do to limit the potential for COVID19 transmission as they continue their medicinal cannabis?
The Australian Department of Health have released guidelines to reinforce good hygiene, as well as encouraging to practice social distancing when possible. These guidelines should also be considered when it comes to caring for and using the medical vaporisers. Our New Zealand customers are encouraged to follow the advice available at https://covid19.govt.nz/
● Wash your hands often with soap and water, including before and after taking medicinal cannabis products, and after going to the toilet, using alcohol-based hand sanitisers, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
● All devices used for medicinal cannabis administration should be cleaned regularly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Do not share any dosing aids such as an inhalation device
● Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the most appropriate dose for you. If you are unsure what dose you require, please contact your doctor or pharmacist to discuss. If you are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, it is recommended that you obtain medical advice from your doctor immediately. Always check with your doctor before stopping any ongoing medication
